Participants gather in the main foyer of the Winter Palace

The Hermitage presents a new program especially for lovers of painting and music, Meetings with masterpieces of the museum in the halls of the Hermitage. You will sit in comfortable seats in front of a famous painting, and listen to an expert talking about the history of the art and music of the period when the work was painted, imbued with the same moods, thoughts and feelings which are also characteristic of the masterpiece. Art historians and soloists from the State Hermitage Orchestra will take part in the meetings.
The first evening at the Large Italian Skylight Room is dedicated to Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Art historian and State Hermitage employee Alla Kamchatova will talk about the artist's masterpieces. The Ensemble of Soloists of the State Hermitage Orchestra will play Italian (Venetian) 18th century music.

Tickets can be bought from the Winter Palace of Peter I ticket office
on the day of the event.
